Day Two - Friday, July 1: Arrival at Heathrow to Off to Johannesburg

The flight from LAX to Heathrow was not bad at all. Nine hours and 45 minutes. We started with dinner (some strange chicken and rice concoction. Sorry no photos), I watched a movie and then I slept for nearly six hours. Amazing...I never sleep on planes. I wound up sitting by myself so Zoe and Natasha could sit together.

We arrived at London/Heathrow at about 4 local time. Here was the breakfast box they served us about an hour before we landed.

We changed terminals and got through security quite smoothly. We leave for Johannesburg at about 7 p.m.. Then another ten hour flight.

I got Boingo wifi which I had to pay for but it was pretty easy as I already have an account.

I think I have met nearly every one in this group. The Sexton family from Phoenix. I think there are four of them. Then Katie, Danny, and Lisa from a Baptist church in Phoenix. John and Tina Drake from Grace. Melissa the UCLA nurse. Kathy and Katie Pipkin from Irvine.

This has been the fun, unexpected blessing of the trip so far. Meeting great new believers from around our part of the country and then watching the team begin to develop. It really appears to be a great group of people. Continue to pray for us we move into the next phase of the adventure.

Tired girls? or Goofy Girls?

That's right...goofy girls.
